Emma & Ben | Elkridge, MD Wedding

Emma and Ben's wedding at the Elkridge Furnace Inn was so delightful. I was braced for the muggy August heat, but the weather was about as perfect as you could hope for!

I love Emma and Ben’s story. They both went to the same school growing up, and Ben knew Emma as his friend's little sister and one of his teacher’s daughters.

Emma's beloved dad, who passed away two years ago, was one of Ben's Bible teachers and played a big role in leading Ben to faith in Jesus. While he had already passed by the time Emma and Ben started dating, Emma remembers her dad speaking highly of Ben. The entire family knows he would have whole-heartedly approved of their marriage and commitment to each other. 

Memories of Emma’s dad were sprinkled throughout the day – a printed photo here and there, a letter from dad read by her sister. And although his absence was indeed felt, joy and excitement were the emotions that dominated the day.  The joining of these two (rather large!) families was just FUN. I’m so excited for these two and love how the Lord brought them together. Honored to capture this important day in their lives, and I will be sharing their photos over and over again. Look how beautiful these people are, I mean how could you not share again and again!?
