Downtown Annapolis Engagement | Kyle & Brianna

When Kyle and I spoke the week before this proposal, he said he wanted to pop the question by the water, on a dock, away from the crowds of people. I had the perfect place in mind, and I sent him a video of how to walk to the exact spot so that they wouldn't run into me (the lady with the big camera!) and have the surprise ruined.

I hid behind a fence until I heard their feet approaching on the dock. I actually had a mini heart attack when I saw them smooching as I came out from hiding. "SHOOT did I miss it?? " I thought. But no, just a pre-kneeling kiss. I caught it all on camera, thank the good Lord. The timing and plan all worked out.

We got a few sweet photos in the proposal spot, then we walked around Downtown Annapolis. We chatted about how they met, about where they were getting married, about their friends who are also engaged, and we oohed and aahed at Brianna's new ring more than once.

Engagements are some of the best days to be a part of. The giddiest surprise and excitement for one, and the largest exhale of relief for the other.
