The one with the fun, unexpected, and fluffy treat.

That treat being the random park dog who sprinted over, sat down right in front of this cutie family, and smiled for the cam. His owner ran over and said, "I'm so sorry! He just learned new photo tricks!" No sorry necessary, ma'am! Might need to add this pup to the payroll.

Summertime proves time and time again to be my favorite time for family photos. The lighting, the warmth, and maybe just the overall calm and carefree vibes of summer?? It can't be boiled down to one reason, but I love this time of year for photos. This morning session with the Johnson family, a couple weeks after their girl turned one, was a good one!

Another unexpected treat was the $2 coffee I got from a Brazilian pastry shop right before this session. I grew up five minutes away from this shop, but hadn't ever been. Will have to to start making this a regular spot for whenever I'm in town.
